Join us for a warm and funny comedy this Spring!

Three widows meet once a month in New York before visiting their husband’s graves. Ida is sweet-tempered and ready to begin a new life,  Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when they encounter Sam the butcher who is visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille soon squash the romance that blooms between Sam and Ida, but find themselves guilt-ridden when this nearly breaks Ida’s heart.

Aided by the fast talking Mildred, this is a funny, sweet and moving play. Critics have described it as ''Very touching and humorous. An evening of pure pleasure that will make you glad you went to the theatre''. So if you want something to blow away the winter blues this is the show for you. (And don't let the title put you off!)

GETTING HERE
The Kings Theatre has a small car park with 2 disabled parking spaces. There is also a public car park opposite in Grosvenor’s Yard. Both car parks can fill up quickly, so please ensure you allow plenty of time to park and get to theatre and be seated before the performance begins.

The theatre is a 7 minute walk from the bus station, and a 12 minute walk from the train station.

Auditorium doors are closed at the advertised start time and Nomads reserves the right to operate a no admittance policy for late-comers to ensure the enjoyment of our seated patrons. Thank you.

We do not generally offer refunds unless a show is cancelled by us or there are extreme circumstances.

Ticket prices for concerts and other small productions (including any non-Nomads productions) may vary.

When a show sells out, we can take your details and contact you should tickets become available. This will be on a first come, first served basis.

We use hazers and other smoke effects which are non toxic and perfectly safe to use for both our cast and patrons. Musicals use the theatre's sound system which includes microphones and amplified music, we therefore recommend that you consider carefully before purchasing a ticket for babies or very young children, both for their own enjoyment and that of our other patrons.
